Therapy for Women
At Solace Counseling Center, we know what it feels like to be stuck in old patterns; sacrificing yourself for others, striving for perfection, and navigating unhealthy relationships.
During our therapy sessions, we’ll work together to build new patterns, find your authentic self, foster healthy relationships, and create a meaningful life.
You don’t have to go through this alone.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or just know it’s time for something to change, we’re here to help. We offer one-on-one therapy for adults—either in our cozy Downtown St. Pete office or online anywhere in Florida or South Carolina, so you can choose what feels right for you.
Our approach is grounded, compassionate, and trauma-informed, with specialized training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to support deeper healing when you're ready for it.
Therapy can be a powerful space to reconnect with yourself, gain clarity, and feel more like you again. When the time feels right, reach out. We’d be honored to support you on your journey.
Our Philosophy
At Solace Counseling Center, your well-being is at the heart of everything we do. We’re here to walk with you—offering support that’s intentional, personalized, and grounded in compassion.
We’re especially committed to creating a space where everyone feels safe, seen, and respected. We welcome and celebrate humans from all backgrounds, with a special focus on supporting women, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+ communities. Our goal is to make sure you feel truly heard and valued, just as you are.
We stand against racism, sexism, ableism, sizeism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, capitalism, and the patriarchy. We’re building an anti-oppressive space that honors diversity and fosters resilience. You’ll find real allies here, ready to support you with kindness and understanding—no judgment, just care.
Hi! I’m Kayla, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida. Since 2017, I’ve had the chance to work in a variety of mental health settings, from residential treatment to outpatient therapy, crisis response teams, and shelters for those experiencing homelessness or domestic violence. These experiences have taught me a lot about what really creates lasting change: self-awareness, curiosity, connection, authenticity, community, and advocacy.
I believe that meaningful change happens both intentionally and naturally, and that it’s best guided by your own insights and inner strength. My role is to help you tap into that wisdom and support you along the way.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with my family and friends, practicing yoga, reading, and getting creative with arts, coloring, or puzzles. I enjoy being outdoors, playing video games, and volunteering at the animal shelter. On some days, you’ll find me binge-watching a show and snuggling up with my two cats. I’m originally from Arizona and also had the privilege of living in Italy during my time in the military. Both places hold a special place in my heart.
I’m so honored to be a part of your journey and can’t wait to support you as you make meaningful changes!
Kayla
Who We Are
Our Vision
We want to help shift the way we talk about and approach mental health—making it more inclusive, more holistic, and deeply rooted in justice. We’re here to challenge the systems that create barriers, especially for marginalized communities, and to center the voices and experiences that too often go unheard.
Our Mission
At Solace Counseling Center, our mission is to support you through life’s challenges—whether you're navigating people pleasing, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or low self-worth. We take a holistic approach to healing, offering personalized therapy, and EMDR therapy, all designed to help you reconnect with yourself and build a life that feels meaningful and true to who you are.
We’re here to create a space where growth feels possible and healing happens with compassion. Our work is about more than just coping—it’s about helping you make lasting, empowering changes, and turning your story into one of resilience, strength, and authenticity.
